FAQ/Policy

Please place order 2+ weeks in advance to ensure there is adequate time to discuss and prepare for the order. Orders placed within less than 2 weeks may or may not be accommodated, based on availability.  Response times are slower than usual from Thursday-Sunday. 

Inspiration images are for inspiration only. Designs can’t be completely replicated unless stated otherwise, or if it is our own work. 

Be as specific as possible. State exactly what you would like to see or exactly what you’d like, to make sure it’s included (especially when referring to inspiration images). 

Orders are not confirmed until a minimum 50% deposit is made. Until then, your spot may be forfeited. Availability fills up quick. 

There are two payment options to place the order. The first is a full amount payment by e-transfer. The second option is a 50% deposit by e-transfer, the other 50% would be payed in cash upon pickup. E-transfer will not be accepted upon pickup, unless stated otherwise. 

Cakes with florals on them must be picked up the same day as cutting. Florals will wilt if stored more than a day. 

If there's no one to hold the cake during the drive, put the cake on the passenger seat floor. Car seats are tilted and it may fall back. Make sure the air conditioning is on in the car. Drive slowly. We are not liable for any damages once the cake/treats is picked up by the customer. 

Do not place the cake in direct sunlight or heat, it will melt or crack. While serving, it can be left in a cool room, on a display table for 1-2 hours depending on weather/temperature. Otherwise, keep it refrigerated until ready to serve. Bottle cakes are heavy, the buttercream needs to be cool and firm to support the weight of the bottle. 

Leftover cake lasts 3-4 days in a fridge, in an airtight container. 

Pickup is available in Brampton/Missisauga depending on pickup time. Deliveries to event spaces or large wedding cakes are hand delivered by the Cake Lab team. Delivery is offered through Uber connect. Delivery is an add on. 

They can be made without nuts, but may contain traces, as our kitchen is not nut free. We advised anyone with a nut allergy to consume our products with caution. 

Deposits are not refundable. If notice is given a week or more before pickup date, the deposit can be transferred to a future order. Transfer funds can be used with a year from the date the deposit was made. After a year, the transfer funds will expire. If less than a weeks notice is given, the deposit will not be transferred or refunded.
